Organizational success is contingent on hiring and retaining qualified managers. Preparation for recruiting key managers is a labor-intensive but essential process if a search is to be successful. We specialize in recruiting candidates for mid-level and senior management positions in nonprofit agencies, such as president/executive director, director of development, director of administration and finance and program manager. We begin a search process by meeting with members of the agency’s leadership to understand the organizational culture, the position’s function in the organization and the expectations for the new incumbent. Based upon this information, we:
We screen all applications prior to conducting preliminary interviews with candidates viewed as potentially meeting the position requirements. We prepare a summary report profiling those candidates we recommend to be interviewed. Upon agency concurrence, all candidates eliminated from the applicant pool are notified. We arrange interviews with the finalists, develop general interview questions and coordinate the interview schedule. We conduct reference checks and are available to provide counsel during the interviewing process. At the conclusion of the search, all unsuccessful candidates are notified. Our services include all administrative tasks related to the search process, allowing the agency to maintain its operational activities unencumbered by the additional burden of the search. The typical search process requires 3-6 months to complete. Our broad experience in the non-profit sector
and the depth and range of our professional services bring added value
to the planning and management of an organization’s executive search and
related human resource activities.
